Our story
Alentejo Cycle Works exists because Beja deserved a bike shop that felt local — unhurried, skilled, and part of the street.
Founding
After years as employees in other bicycle shops — learning sales floors, seasonal rushes, and the quiet satisfaction of a well-adjusted gear — we took the chance to open our own place in Beja.
The idea was simple: a workshop where riders are known by name, where multi-brand service is done carefully, and where the Alentejo’s roads and trails are part of the conversation — not an afterthought.
Today
We have grown into a trusted stop in the south of Portugal for accessories, components, and honest mechanical work. Brands and customers know us for reliability — not for flashy franchise branding.
Everything we do rests on three words: professionalism, integrity, and quality. That applies to a €15 cable change as much as to a full build.
Community
We promote guided rides, crossings, and support for local BTT and endurance events. Whenever we can, we partner with social solidarity organisations so cycling also gives something back to Beja.
